Your collateral's value over time

The 5090 launched at $1,999 in January 2025, and was briefly worth $1,999 for about four minutes. Scalpers took it to around $6,000 that February. It then spent most of a year sliding back toward sanity, and nearly reached it.

Then 2026 happened. Today one sells for about $9,000, when one turns up at all. Our Chief Economist has extended the line for you. Our Chief Economist is an RGB fan.

Line chart of the RTX 5090's estimated US street price by month: $1,999 at launch in January 2025, a peak near $6,000 in February 2025, a slide to about $2,300 by the end of 2025, then a climb through 2026 to about $9,000 in October 2026, with a dotted projection running off the top of the chart.
Estimated from published price trackers and eBay sales. The dotted line is our Chief Economist's forecast.

How it works

Understanding your amortization schedule

In the early years, almost all of each payment goes to interest. This is called "front-loading", and it is the financial equivalent of a shader compilation stutter: nothing seems to happen for a very long time, then suddenly it's 2049.

Each year in your schedule shows how much you paid, how much of that was interest, how much actually bought graphics card, and how much you still owe. The "Still owed" column is your equity in reverse. Watch it fall, slowly, like a fan curve at idle.
