Not a joke

The actual privacy policy

Fannie VRAM is a parody website. It has no accounts, no application form, no newsletter, no analytics, no advertising and no social media widgets. It does not ask for, collect, sell or share personal or financial information.

The mortgage and rent-vs-buy calculators run on the server for each request and store nothing: the figures you enter are used to work out the page you see and are then discarded.

The waitlist button on the Get pre-approved page, the tour button on the Listings page and the earnings-call button on the Investors page each add one to an anonymous total. Nothing about you is stored with any of them. Pressing one sets a cookie that records only that this browser has already pressed it, so the total is not counted twice. It expires after a year, and you can delete it at any time.

Like any web server, the host keeps standard access logs - the IP address, time, page requested and browser details of each request - for security and troubleshooting. They are not used to identify or profile visitors.

The site sets one strictly necessary security cookie that its web framework uses to protect against cross-site request forgery. It holds a random value, contains no personal information, and is not used for tracking. Every image, font and script is served from the site itself, so no third-party service is contacted when you visit.
